a couple months ago while towing one of the boats on the interstate the transmission in my f150 started grinding like hell in 3rd gear(only has 8000 miles on new trans) fluid smelled burned, metal shavings on the stick... anyways, with a trip with the boat planned coming up i decided to park the f150 and search for a new tow rig. searched high and low for a clean, average miles, powerstroke. after a month of searching every day i found this one and made my offer... the only thing i found that i dont like about the truck is the fuel tank size, its got a 29 gallon tank, im used to 40 in the f150, and 50 in my work truck. ill be swapping in a titan 51 gallon tank once weather cools down.












ive already put her to good use, pulling the boat my buddy captains, a Intrepid 348 walkaround, loaded down with snapper gear, coolers, ice. pulled it out of the water in 2wd like it wasnt there



and i just got back from a scalloping trip with my boat, loaded down with coolers, fishing gear, and an atv, i avereaged 13.9-14 mpg on the highway, couldnt feel the boat back there! the same trip with the f150 i averaged 7.9-8.1 mpg

Now do all the upgrades, tune that sucker, and let 'er pull mo betta. The second complaint of my '02 is the small tank, so I made sure my '08 was a long bed for that reason.
