If it's not running, that truck screams Cummins swap to me or even swapping in a Powerstroke 7.3 with a 5spd handshaker behind either motor. And if you want to get really creative since it's a 2wd put an Eaton Fuller 8LL or 10spd in it.

From the factory no, but who knows what bastardized contraption has been put together in the last 20 years.

The ZF5 was available in 1991, but so was the 4 speed non-overdrive T19.

Was it? I've only found the T18/19 with the gassers 'till '93.

The ZF 5 speed was available in gassers from 1987 on, mainly F250 and up.
It was an option for 1988 only Broncos, very rare, not many guys went for this option.
As far as 7.3IDI diesels, in my experience, the Zf 5 is way more common than the 4 speed. Especially the later IDI's. ZF 5 was available in diesels
starting in 1987 behind the 6.9L.

Negative ghost rider. Our 90 has a ZF-5 behind it. had the oppourtunity to buy a 89 with i think a t-19 4 speed as a parts truck, passed on it being as beat up as it was...
