Hi Folks,

Right now I can only get into 2nd and reverse gear. I have jumped the ground wire for the transmission so the ignition and reverse lights will work. I have a ground going to the PCM.

I have changed the battery terminals and the battery is new and voltage is correct, I checked a number of ground connections and all are solid, the engine runs normal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need this truck for my job,

You say you have a F-250, but you didn't tell us what year, what engine, and what transmission!

It's a 2004 5.4 4 wheel drive trans

 

That doesn't tell us which exact transmission.
