2011 F250 XLT 6.2L Temp Gauge

My boss has a 2011 F-250 XLT 4X4 6.2L pickup that the Temp gauge quit working and it has the Temp Warning Icon on the data center. Also the A/C won't blow cold either.

Anyone have an idea on why this would happen??

It makes heat though?

XL or XLT with "manual" controls or the fancy Lariat/King Ranch digital stuff?
