2017 F250 with 6.7 - Programmer/Tuner Questions

Hello all! I am new to the F250 / Diesel combo. Recently traded my 2011 F150 4x4 for my new to me 2017 F250 4x4 with the 6.7 Diesel. I purchased the truck from a ford dealer, I had them certify it, install a BDS 2” level with with Fox 2.0 shocks, 35x12.50x20’s on 20x9 wheels. I love the truck so far. But I’m considering getting a tuner / programmer to get the shifting back to normal and get the truck to have a tune for towing, performance and fuel economy. I drive 80 miles round trip to work 5 days a week and the economy type tune may help a lot. Can anyone recommend one programmer to accomplish all of this? Or is there a preferred one to use?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
David Smith

First of all congrats on a great looking truck! I'd let the dealer adjust the speedometer and shift points since these trucks come with 34 inch tall tires from the factory. These trucks have so much torque and engine power towing is no problem unless you're in the 15 to 20K pound range. The best way to get good fuel mileage is your foot on the pedal and using cruise control when you can. What gearing do you have 3.55 or 3.31's? On the highway keeping the rpm's in the 1700 range for the most part ought to get you in the 18-19 mpg which ain't bad for a heavy truck even with the 35's and leveled.
