how to put a diesel in a 93-96 f150 ??

i have a 1996 150 sb xcab 4wd 5spd 5.0 liter.

i want to put a diesel in it.

i do not tow or haul anything.

candidates are ford 7.3, dd466, dd6v56 or cat3208.

i think the ford 7.3 would be the easiest simply because it would most readily adapt to my application.

assuming i can find a complete engine, transmission, heavier springs and radiator what else will i need to buy or modify?

looks like it will fit but are mounts and crossmembers different?

will my transfer case bolt up to diesel stick or auto?

as for the extra weight, i've seen 150's with bull bars, winches and plows hanging off the very front. I'm sure that my axles will cope with an extra 2-300 pounds. I will put in either 2" lift coils or airbags to keep the front up.

Not to be nevative but to do this is a huge project....You have to put a drivetrain behind this diesel....change over the complete fuel system....change out the front suspension....Its too small a truck to do this....buy a used diesel earlier then a 97 F250 they are cheap now...

Sorry my opinion....
