Congratulations

Dude, I just saw the pics of your totalled truck. I hope I never run into whatever is capable of doing that kind of damage to a F250.

It is called an incosiderate 18 wheeler driver cutting you off on a winding road - sending you on the most expensive roller coaster ride of your life as you try to avoid the oncoming traffic.

Smile Thanks Marty!

...and thanks again for all of the information you provided!

Did I mention that my first mod will be tires as soon as the truck leaves the lot?? Decided on the Cooper Discoverer A/T in a 285/75R16. Wanted the BFG's, but decided I couldn't really justify the added $$$. That, and the fact that there is a Cooper plant in town and I am getting a heck of a deal ($about 120 to swap all 5) made it kinda hard to pass up. At that price, if I decide I don't like them, I can replace them again and not have lost anything.

It's sad to see a SD like that. Just thank god you're alright. That's what matters most. Well, that and the fact that you got right back into another SD. Congratulations.

Back home

Well I am finally back with the truck! Gotta say, I like it better than my '00. The seats are better, the V10 is better, the towing mirrors are better...and on and on. Took some pics before and after the new tires - will work on getting them posted tomorrow.

longbox: As far as what happened in the wreck - I had all sorts of scrapes, bumps and bruises, and a gash in my left forearm that required 14 stitches. My wife ended up with a cut over her right eye, a black eye, a separated right shoulder, and all sorts of assorted bumps and bruises. In general, we were VERY lucky!

Sure is a nice looking truck. They had one in that color that I looked at as well, but it was a V10 and I had already pretty much decided I wanted a diesel. I really like the color, though. Is the interior grey as well?

Thanks

Yes, the interior is gray also - it is a nice combo. I'll see about adding some interior pics to my gallery this weekend.
