Trading up

I currently have a 4.6L 2000 f150 4x4 and am looking at trading up to a 2000 f250 powerstroke. I pull a 25ft travel trailer and I am tired of it ******* into wind and small inclines. I have heard that the powerstrokes get close to 18 MPG pulling or not. And while driving in the city or hwy. Is this true? Any advise pros or cons would be appreciated.

I say go for it that powerstroke will be more than enough for that trailer you will be towing behind it.

I get between 13-15 while pulling a large load. However I can pull any load with no problems. If your looking for the ability to pull a decent size load without buying alot of fuel get the PSD, Ive got no real cons to share.

Welcome to the World of the Powerstroke. You may want to pay a visit to the web site www.ford-diesel.com
There is a wealth of information to be shared. With my 02 Crew cab, auto, 4x4, 3:73 LS, PSD I average 18.7 mpg empty, if you keep it under 70 MPH you will see your best mileage. These are big heavy trucks, but they will pull like a beast.
