What do you all think (another wheel/tire thing)

I'm considering 16x10's with 305/70's... I'm not going to lift it for while, but would like some better riding/wider rubber than the Firestones. At it's current height, do ya think the 33's would look okay? Know of any pics of a rig similar (height, level, etc) with this combo?

Thanks.

My brother in law put 285's on his stock wheels on his stock height 4X4 Excursion. They rub ever so slightly on lock to lock turns. I can't imagine 305's on 10" wheels stock height. I could be wrong.

Otherwise, I would think 10" is as narrow as you would want to go with 305's and they would look great!!

I'm pretty sure my SD with optional springs and plow package will clear them, it sits as high as a 350 and level. See pic below:

I have 285s on my stock rims at stock ride height with no problems at all. Of course I have the camper and off road packages which beefs up the suspension a little bit too.

There was someone on the boards (MartyB where are you?) that said he had either put 305s on his or seen some with 305s and may have had minimal rubbing at max turn. Might do a search in this forum for posts by MartyB - but not sure if it was in a post or in some other correspondence I had with him.

Oh - if you do go with the 16x10"s - whatcha gonna do with your factory rims?

Thanks for the info... if I recall, someone said they only had to trim the valance (sp) a little. Mainly looking for confirmation before I spend the dollars.

I'll probably keep the stock stuff for winter driving. Thanks for the info.

I'd give you a pic of my truck with 285's but I can't figure out for the life of me how to do it. I click the IMG button and it makes it look like I need a web address? Help guys?
