I run my own custom 4"(ALL THE WAY)..I was going to put the 5" on but just stayed simple...I am straight piped and it sounds like a big rig...Turbo whistle, torque sound, deep..No gasser sound at all...
Banks is quality stuff, but IMHO high dollar...
I am going to install a muffler on my and may up to a 5" chrome tailpipe...
I did wrap mine in Thermo-tec pipe wrap for better thermal efficientcy and to lessen drone...

IMHO-the exhaust/inlet gets it before the heart...I always go for the exhaust, inlet and then the mids...Since you are so mild, I would go with a 3.5 Downpipe and 4"system. Or if you want economy go for the cut the muffler out and replace with a 3.5 walker dynomax straighthrough...Afe or some dual filter on the front and modified airbox w/cool induction....
The propane is vapor system fogged into the intake hose, it is boost activated and adjustable for flow...You really want to go, do this one...and I think if you guys follow Australia or Canada, there is massive rewards for the use of propane...
Good luck and write back if you need details...

Are you considering the Banks??? They have quality products and do the research, although there are more economy minded products out there...
You have to be careful on the intake, as with any of them, if you live in cool climate, then its not a big concern as in Texas...the underhood temps are too hot to feed the engine on any of the trucks..So I prefer to get my air from the leading edge of the truck in front of the grill and a cool induction pacage...
If you haven't got a chip yet, there are some 4 page, 4 selection ones out now..that are hard to beat..
Alot of this stuff you can do yourself for cheap...

if you take the price of each package and divide by the HP gain you find that the git-kit is the most bang for the buck and the incremetal $$$/HP for the other kits is very high.
Delta HP $$$/HP
git kit 40 $19.88
stinger 17 $50.53
stinger plus 22 $27.27
power pack 12 $95.08
solution??? git-kit plus transcontrol

Pills- Did you consider, propane, I know that Australia and Canada government have huge kick-backs and tax reliefs on the use of alternative fuels..i.e.propane...
If this is out of the question, then a fuel economy burnt chip can net you a couple...Exhaust will get you some..
You are not going to get huge mileage figures out of the PSD..but 20 mpg from a 7000 lbs truck is pretty impressive...
If you dont tow too much, an O/D unit or I know one person that did 3.09 gears and they are getting 24.5mpg...
With work, you can get 25mpg...
