Comparison...
Hello everyone,
I am in the market for a new truck and I am split on waiting for the 04 F150 or getting a F250 now. I would like my truck to have some get-up-and-go. I don't hardly ever tow anything, but I do ocaasionally haul stuff in the bed (motorcycles ). I have not ever heard of this comparision, so I thought I'd ask you all. My question is (and I know this may be theoretical, since the 6.0 PSD aren't out yet) If you were to take a F150 Supercrew 4X4 5.4l and race is against a F250 CC SB 4X4 6.0 PSD, who would win? Assume for the question that both trucks are unloaded. Any help would be appeciated!
Thanks,
Chris

Trick question, since the '04 150 should have the power increases from the 3 valve heads.
BUT............
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the G2 would still be the quicker truck, and here is my reasoning. The GM Duramax/Allison trucks in extended cab configuraion can run a 16 second quarter mile give or take a couple tenths. On average it's only a couple tenths slower than their big block gasser.
The first tests show that the G2 is quicker than the GM truck. In a light configuration 150 the new 5.4 might win, but I would guesstimate that the PSD will be quicker in the heavier configurations.
Then again, if you usually haul nothing other than an occasional bike, the blower Harley would romp on both of them.
