brake cable rubbing squeaking

brake cable rubbing squeaking

has anyone had this problem..my right rear brake cable rubs on the frame and the leaf spring on the back right wheel well...can i reroute the brake cable under the leaf spring to stop the rubbing and squeaking?

You can reroute the cable, a possible alternative would be to split heater hose and wrap around the cable at the wear point...

I do this under the hood as well like on the p/s hoses and heater hoses...
