Priceless

Headphones to listen to the game on the radio while you watch it in the stands - $40 bucks

Front row foul line seats - $300 bucks

Costing your pathetically cursed team a possible trip to the world series - PRICELESS!!!!!

Only a Cubs fan would cost his team an out in the NLCS.

For those not familiar with the facts on that pic from last nights game:

Game six.
Cubs lead series 3-2 can clinch with win.
8th inning Cubs lead 3-1, One out, foul ball easily catchable by left fielder(in pic) CUBS fan interferes with catch. Left fielder crys, Marlins go on to score 8 runs in the eighth and win 8-3.

If the Cubs lose tonight, that guy will have to leave Chicago never to return. (If he can get out of the City alive)

For crying out loud, the Cubs losing that game was NOT this guys fault. If you watch the video, there were plenty of other people around him in the crowd that were also reaching for the ball. He was just in the wrong place, wrong time. There were plenty of other errors made by the Cubs players themselves that cost them the game - like the guy that dropped that very easy catch. It's all blown way out of proportion, and it's unfortunate that this guy is going to get chastized for the rest of his life. The only safe place for him to move is going to be to Florida.

Well it's his hand over the fielders glove,,,
With two outs, the pitch selection is different.
I think the batter who owned the foul that would have been caught, eventually walked. There were so many after him I can't recall.

It affected the game to the detriment of the Cubs, that should be enough to have him executed. I think he could probably be extradited from Florida if I were him, I wouldn't stop until at least Venezuela.

His only hope is if the Cubs win tonight otherwise, dead meat, sorry.

In the excitement of the game, what would you have done in his position? Nine out of ten people would have done the same thing just so they could try to have a piece of Cubs history if they do go to the World Series.

Could the Cubs have gotten two more outs in the 8th anyway (before the Marlins scored their numerous runs)?? Yes. Did they? No.

Could the Cubs have scored 6 runs in the 9th to win with a score of 9 to 8? Yes. Did they? No.

Maybe this guy's actions did affect the game, maybe they didn't. The Cubs still self-destructed in the 8th by their own actions as well.

There's been other occurances such as this throughout the years and they will continue to happen from time to time.

You play baseball in a stadium with fans and part of the game IS the fans... good or bad.... This poor guy was unfortunately in a place and part of a situation that caused something bad to happen but as an above poster stated, most others would have done the same thing.

Sadly for this fan, the media and a lot of others are gonna point at him saying that HE cost the Cubs the pennant as it pertained to this game....... Actually the only goat in this can only be those who want to blame something like this for a loss when there was a LOT more to it............. it is only a baseball game................ and yes I am a fan of the game..............

OK.
As far as the owning a piece of Cubs history, isn't Wrigley where they throw the opposing homeruns back onto the field?

And the 9 out of 10 people yeah that's true for the whole ballpark but, the seats along the foul line are like the seats next to the Emergency Exit on an airplane. If you are not willing to accept the responsibilities that come with that seat, please trade. 'grab the foul ***** when your team bats...get back and throw back your arms to keep everyone around you back when your team is trying to make a play'.

The Walker (Boston)homerun at NY in game 1 is a good example.
The ball was slicing towards the foulpole and a filthy, sneaky dirty NY fan sticks his arm in front of the pole and swats the ball to the foul side. The right field umpire called it foul, the home plate umpire overruled. The kid is up there like "who me?" until 15 reporters descended upon him and he left the game.

The NY kid had his head 'in the game'.
The guy in Chicago may have his head 'on a platter'.

Raoul, You are correct about the responsibility that comes with front row seating. That guy was escorted out of the stadium by police because the crowd started throwing beers at him during the last inning. Tough way to leave a game, maybe an even tougher way to leave the city or state. I know what's right, but this ain't about right and wrong, this is about baseball fans, Cubs fans especially. That guy has a problem now. He created it by accident and reflex, but now he's going to have to live with it. No amount of apologies or pleads will solve this one. It's a shame the newpapers printed his picture all over the nation on the front page of the sports section. Maybe newspapers will eventually have to do the same thing TV occasionally does, blur out the face until they get permission.

Hope the Cubs win tonight.

p.s. I'm not really a Cubs fan, I just wanted them to win so that game six of the Red Sox/Yankees would be on at 8 EST instead of 4 EST.

I don't get off work until 5 and then a 45 minute commute
and my wife wants me to pick up some dry cleaning, Grrrrrr.
(It's times like these I'm glad I opted for the 5.4L)

Somebody give me an update here at about 4:50, ok?

He'll be on Letterman and Leno if the Cubs win tonight though. Didn't this happen not too many years ago in another game that was VERY important?
