Wow! It's the real Mardi Gras time again? All those Girls Gone Wild commercials have really messed up my internal calendar. It seems like every night around 11:00pm it's either Mardi Gras or Spring Break

I am taking my wife to Naw'lins for her 50th birthday. It should be a great time. We will be staying in hotel on the French Quarter a block from Bourbon street.

On Fat Tuesday we have reservations for a balcony party in the center on Bourbon street. All you can eat and drink from 11:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night. Good food and premium liquor, beer and wine.

We leave Friday and return the following Friday. Does anyone have any tips on safety , things to do , etc...?

Thanks in advance

We celebrated Mardi Gras a couple of weeks ago here in NW Florida. I drove my 98 F150 in the Mardi Gras parade, and pulled a float for the American Cancer Society. Lots of fun! It amazes me how crazy people go over some 29 cent plastic beads.
