Prom Tux's

Been a few years (just a few) since I had to worry about a Prom Tux. My son is getting ready for his junior Prom.

What's everyone been paying? I know there are different styles and all, just trying to get a feel for the average costs involved...

I think I paid around $80 for my tux rental (1 year ago) at a place called Mr. Formal Tuxedo (I think that was the name)

Pants, shoes, bow/tie/vest, coat, and even a pair of socks.

Edit: I live in a suburban city on the south end of Dallas, so my prices may be lower than you can expect to pay. A place like Ghengis Formal was like $120+.

Thumbs up my prom rocked this year...

Psh, don't get a tux. They cost too much to rent. Buy him a suit. I got myself a nice suit this year for $150, it's mine to keep which is awesome. This is what I wore...

JD, don't know about prices but, will offer this advice.
On Pick-Up day allow time to try it on, all of it.
I was in the business for six years and the biggest disasters were due to running in and grabbing a bag and running out the door.

If there is a problem, it can be fixed on the spot and believe me, so many things can go wrong.

Well I rented one. Cost $120, guess that appears "average". Wife told me after the fact the she had a client that owns a Tux shop...

LGJ - I had thought about buying - decided to go a little more formal.

Raoul - The place I rented from wants you to come in two days prior to make sure it fits correctly, has to be back the day after between 11:00 and 5:00 pm. That works for me so I don't have to scramble around.

Thanks all...
