Just for Sh*ts and Grins, try it in another PCI slot... The PCI slot on the MB could have one weak solder (sp?) breaking connection once in a while.
If it works in another slot... Then you will want to check your surge protector because thats a sign that it (might) have gotten a surge sometime. sometimes they just go bad... But a surge causes it more often than not.

Yeah, I have a new one coming. So far, I've bought:

1. New video card. ($125)
2. Power Supply. ($49)
3. RAM ($40 - I think) came with a free mouse
4. New fans (2 @ $3.99)
5. Now a MB ($50)

All I need now is a new AMD and I have a new PC.

Ha! That's good stuff...

PSS - I thought this was an AGP card... last I saw you normally only get one AGP slot!

The card is an AGP. I have nothing in my PCI slots.

If you need a new case when you get a new MB let me know... If I have one to fit. Then if you'll pay the shipping, you can have it. I'm getting ready to crush several cases and through them away soon. "Wife is starting to complain about all of the junk parts.. and I agree."

Thanks man, but ditto here too. I have about 6 cases laying around, and about 3 PC's...only one of 3 works, and it's the mother in laws. Finance manager (aka wife) is getting pissey with all the crap I've collected over the past few years.

Well, I have been tracking my MB and it will arrive today. I will put it in Wednesday (We have Church tonight).

I will have updated news on Thursday about my "computer adventure" then.
