What's the catch? Oil is just below $51 a barrel and has gone up 3 days in a row.

Places around metro detroit are offering discounts on gas if you pay cash. CC's can cost a station up to $0.07/gal, so if you pay cash they pass some savings onto you. Several stations in the area have lowered the prices on a 'cash only' basis.

Seems like gas here is going down everywhere. Most stations are around $2.14/gal or so. I've been getting gas for about $2.11. One of our Gate stores which is a major brand around here is under $2.00 now. There are a few that are still over $2.20/gal. Stations around the Airport are still over $2.40/gal.

I've been getting it for $1.89 for about 3 weeks now....

Edited to add:
New Wally world super center just went in at a near by town and is offering really cheap gas to get everyone to come in. So naturally all of teh other stations are lowering to try and compete some... It's the same distance to this new one as the other one that I try to avoid.. I mean sometimes go to. The town is on the way to the lake so I fill up the boat and truck on my way through.
I dont know how long it will last. My suppervisors father inlaw owns one of the gas sations over there "the one I have always went to" and he is complaining that they are losing money on gas trying to be competetive with the super giant.

I'm jealous.... 2.24 on post yesterday........... UGH!!!

And I had to fill the Excursion. They really need to take down those 50 & 100 dollar bill signs. that's just a fill up for this beast.
