beware

My friend is selling his truck on the classifieds on this site and he had someone reply to 18 minutes later they offered him 2200 on his truck and told him that they are in belgum and that they had a shipping company that they wanted to use and that it was going to cost 3000 for it. the guy said that he wanted to send a cashiers check for 5200 and have my friend take out 2200 and give 3000 to the shipping company to send it to belgum. so if you are selling a vehicle on the classafieds beware of this guy this is definately a fraud.

I think the "Welcome to last week" bashing syndrome is slightly unfair on some of the people who post.
Some of us (fortunate ones) get to log on most every day even at work and keep abreast of all matters great and small.
Some people log on occasionally and obviously don't.
In the majority of cases and especially this one, one of our fellow members and friends is doing his duty and trying to look out for us so give him a break.

We're just giving you a hard time... even jokes get this response sometime too. So don't take it persoanally.

Apperently not everyone knows of this scam. It's been going on for the better part of 15 years. So apperently some still fall for it or the scam artist wouldn't waste thier time to search classifieds and try it.

Yea they just are giving you a hard time.

Don't get upset....get even. Wait for us to make some stupid comment....it happens regularly and then nail us.

No worries...it was all in fun.

It happened to me ONCE! But that was many many years ago.
I think that was just a bad decade for me. I was also wrong once in that same decade too!
