Nope not a joke, as far as I last heard, that there is a "truce" between Ford and the organization that is boycotting, I forget the specifics, but it was in an article on MSNBC or something like that a couple weeks ago. I can't remember the organization, but it is a christian organization.

Yea, pretty stupid. Why do people care so much about it though. I mean dont get me wrong I cringe everytime I see a gay couple kiss, and my girlfriend says im a homophobe. But if two adults of the same sex want to get married, WHY STOP THEM?
We cant look at what the bible says a marriage is, we are a nation with different religions and views, and we cant say you "guys" cant marry based on religious views. Separation of church and state, right!

Nissan and Mitsubishi are probably laughing their butts off
Wow that is pathetic:
Trying to use god to run off a potential vehicle purchaser based upon a difference of viewpoints.Every holy text in the world (including the koran, or Q'ran, since some don't know better) say to not judge others for they are your misguided brothers.
The group is hateful and as much as I disagree with gay marriage and prefer to have civil unions to satisfy the majority, then I too will have nothing more important to do than see these people run off so that they can concentrate on other important topics like staying out of non-religious affairs and business.
If they don't like it, don't buy it. Hypocrisy runs the most rampant among those who preach tolerance.
After two warzones (one military and one as a civilian) and half the world in travel all I can say...America is still the greatest, even if we make mistakes. Send these people to Syria or Uzbekistan for a few weeks and see if they can come up with something better than attacking an american icon and originator.

I really don't see a problem with an organization making public the practices of a company and saying "hey if you don't agree with this type of action then maybe you shouldn't support them". I'd love to see Ford give a $1000 for every Jag that a Christian buys to a church like they do for the homosexuals. Its Ford's right to give away the money and its the other's right to boycott or call for them.
Just to clarify...separation of church and state doesn't exist in the Constitution. It only existed in a letter from Jefferson to oddly enough a church group. It has been thrown about by those who don't know the Constitution like it exists there. The establishment clause has been twisted and distorted by certain justices on the Supreme court, activist groups, news media, and "educators".
Here is the letter:

I just cant see how in the "Land of the Free", you are prohibited from marrying the same sex. (and again I would like to clarify I am a full blown heterosexual male. But what do I care if two guys or two girls get married)
And vader, I'm not bashing your separation of church and state reply, just showing why I dont see how the US can prohibit same sex marriages.

I don't assume 25-50% of the US is gay.
Bill got a lesbian daughter, homosexual son?
What is their motive.
Not a smart move supporting the gays especially in the US.
