I went to the Coca~Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. That was the first Nascar race I've ever been to. We sat right up next to the wall in between turns one and two. Man there's nothing like watching the cars blast by you at 190 mph, while being pelted in the face with burning rubber from the tires. And the exhausts on those cars are LOUD! My eardrums went numb about the second lap. lol. But it was totally worth it. I can't wait to go again!

They both suck. They're not on the air 5 minutes before they go right into the Dale JR show. For crying out loud, there's 42 other drivers, most of which are running higher than him. At least with NBC you don't have to put up DW's mouth.

I've been a big fan NASCAR for years, but anymore they've just turned me off.
If the same thing that happened at Indy with the F1 cars had happened with NASCAR they would have rewrote the book and made them drive automatics with 6.33 gears.

I still watch it but now I don't schedule my day around it the way I used to. I go to both Atlanta races. Good excuse to start drinking beer at 7:00 am.

I noticed after the race they first interviewed Dale JR and J Gorden the went down the list starting from 2nd place. Also after the big wreck the tv cameras were trying to film the 8 car so the pit crew knew what to fix.

Amen, brother. . . Nothing worse than Waltrip and that damn "Boogity Boogity . . . Shut it already". . . MacRenolyds also ticks me off. He needs to go and take some speech classes. This is national television for crying out loud. Put Hammond in the booth already. He may be ****y, but he knows his stuff and is comprehendible. No, NBC isn't perfect, but it gets me away from DW, MacRenolyds, and Chris "What is he for" Meyers. . . Yes, I'll take the tools Wally Dallenbach and Chris Webber over Fox anyday. You gotta like BP, though
In short, MRN rules.

Two dominating performances with wins in two weaks - go Stewart
Although I think we've seen the last of him climbing fences...

MRN runs a delay, so the visual and audio don't mesh.

Did you hear one of the announcers say, "Boris Said is mowing the grass again..." He spun out at least 3 or 4 times.
He's a road racer - he got bored and thought he would turn right and see what happended

I guess Boris watched the coverage from the Le Mans race and wanted to try it out!

I guess I prefer the Fox broadcasts better. I do shift work so I'm usually sleeping during the day. So, I tape it and watch it at my leisure. I can also fast-forward through the boring "visa race breaks" and such.

Yeah, I heard one of em say, "He sure can manuever through that grass." And the other announcer said something in the terms of "Yeah he's used to spinning out at the road courses, so he's had plenty of practice." Hahahahaha!
