September 11 - Remember the Heroes
#1
#6
A lot of things happened on September 11th four years ago. I remember the day like it happened yesterday. I'm three hundred miles form NYC. I hadn't even seen the twin towers. I've never been to the Pentagon and have only passes through parts of Pennsylvania on the highway. I don't personally know anyone directly effected by the events of that day. Yet I can not and will not forget that day.
I will not forget because what was done to this country, and to all the people. The people who lost their lives and thoes who have to go on living with out their loved ones. We all remember what happen to this country that day. Well, another thing happened. I changed that day. I changed from someone who stood alone and didn't think much about all the other people in this country. I realized that it was time to pay attention. I realized that I am proud of my country, even though it's not perfect. I realized that I didn't want to stand alone any more. I want to be a part of what makes up this country.
I have thought of the people, the heros. There were so many. I thank them for what they have done for this country, and what they have done for me.
