Actually I have no more beef with drive thu's than any other part of society that involves the public.

My biggest pet peave is at Subway.

When I go in I already know what bread I want, what, type of sandwich that I want, and what toppings that I want on it. But they start rigth off the bat giving me utlimatums,
White or rye?
umm white.
The middle goes alright but then we get to the toppings and they start in again.
Mushrooms or peppers?
So then I have to think is either of those on my list?
Yea Mushrroms are but not peppers. So yes mushrooms, no peppers!
onion or pickles?
Is either of thooose on my list?
No onion is not Pickles are. So no onion, yes pickles please.
So on and so on with pairs of options until we have covered every topiing they offer. Wouldn't it have been easier for me to just tell them which ones of the 32 toppings that I want?

Hi Smeezy -
:santa:

Let's not Rx zoloft . . . it's way overused . . . .

For khendrix2374 I'm thinkin' Klonopin™

(Mostly because I haven't suggested this med before and I'd like to see what happens. Damn! Psychopharmacological experiments on the net is FUN!)

Dear Khendrix -
Before I tell you what Klonopin is, just know that I mean it all in jest . . . we're just yankin' your chain . . . so don't take offense.

In answer to your question, yes, it's similiar and no, it's not.

Xanax is a brandname for Alprazolam (which is a benzodiazepine) which is used mainly as an anti-anxiety drug. It's mainly used short term for mild anxiety and nervous tension (for some reason it also seems to hep IBS)

And you mentioned Valium which is a brand name for Diazepam (also a benzodiazepine) and also for short term anxiety (but not useful for irritable bowel synd), but seems to be used to treat alcohol withdrawal symptom, muscle spasms, and, believe it or not, helps control epilepsy

Klonopin (Clonazepam) is also a member of the class benzodiazepine, but it's a bit more heavy-duty than Xanax and Valium. Klonopin is primarily an anticonvulsant and is used for folks suffering from seizures. It can be used for short term anxiety (hence why I chose it) and it seems to be popular for treatment of bipolar affective disorder.

And that's the humorous part of suggesting Klonopin . . . whereas if someone said, "Damn, that dude is a bit hyped, give him a Valium . . . " I was suggesting, hey, let's not use a fly-swater, let's use a nuke!

And that's also the beauty of psychopharm . . . there are people out there actually Rx'ing this stuff for short term mild anxiety . . .

and like all the other psych drugs THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT REALLY IS, WHY IT WORKS, OR WHAT THE TRUE LONG TERM EFFECTS ARE . . . .

but it's fun to experiment.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Now, cut out the caffeine, and don't go to fast food drive thru restaurants (because besides being frustrating, it's not good for you anyway).

By the way . . . any relation to Jimi?

Oh yeah . . . and at least where you are, even though the questions are irritating, at least they come at you in ENGLISH and you understand them.

Here, it's a slurred spanglish that is not understandable. So not only to you have to put up with the BS, you have no idea what-so-ever what they are saying and when you get your order you have to triple check it to see if they understood YOU speaking English.

lmao. I had a hunch that all three were similar. I certainly didnt take offence to any comments.

LOL, If I had a dime for every time I've been asked if I was related to Jimi, I'd have my truck paid off.
And yes, Jimi is my brother from a different color mother.

I do that, but that's because there usually is something new when I go to McD's. I only eat there about once every 3-4 years!
