Irritaing city blocks with obnoxious speakers and poor dress codes, only to stop and "let 'em spin". I know there are a lot of young guys in here. Is the entire younger generation consumed with this music and lifestyle or are there still a few normal people left. I have a 20 year old step-brother that listens to nothing but crap and hip hop. He is also about as dumb as a box of rocks, I am beginning to think those two qualities come hand in hand. And the dumb kid across the street from me is always yelling "Who MIke JONes?".
Don't ge me wrong, I even like a song or two from time to time but I have no respect for these crap artists that put out 6 albums a year with the wrong message in every song. I was more tolerant of crap when it sung of life on the street, the new stuff seems to celebrate life on the street or justify being a low-life.
I guess I can look forward to the death of this stuff, just like Disco, all bad stuff gets old quick. This seems to be taking a bit longer. I am ready for some Puerto Rican techno booty music or something else to take over for a while.
Otherwise, I may just have to get some gold teeth, some cornrows, go buy a beat up Caprice, twist up a fatty, and go steal some spinners.

Oh and yes, I dislike Rap immensely!!!

Metallica sold out...They went mainstream.....Prior to enter sand man, Not any one of thier songs would be played on a commerical R. Station.
Counrty Mussic...60's country Story tellen music was cool, ( Big Jhon, North to Alaska, Sold my soul to the company store, Lyric,
Jhonny cash.)
In the 70's Country went to the out house...
Fifty cent, M/M bad boy images, negative reflections on society really are not new, Glen Miller, Elvis, Jhonny cash, Caused youth to dance, dance, and drink.
I like disco now, Hated it in the 70's, Metal head I was in the 80's, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Slayer, Molly Hatchet, coney hatch ( not realy metal )
Killing cop's and banging hoes, stealing cars and signing abought it, dose little to promote creativity, Rap mussic live forces the performer to be creative, add the ellement of love, Confussion, peice and under standing, and your back smoking a jiont in the back of a van with **** carpet, 8 track and craig speakers....
Todays country is a hell of a lot more up beat but I can not stand Shwania Twian...Two round's with Hosie qurvo...Thiers things down here the devil himself would't do...cool tunes....

to each their own i guess. i just dont like it. some people dont like what i listen to... thats why i always volunteer to drive everywhere and I have control over MY stereo. not one note of rap has been played in my 04 i'm 19 and i just dont get it, apparently its cool to be poor now, and spend all the money you do have on blunts, 40's, b!tches, and big screen tv's. not my thing. gimme some social distortion and by the way, i do like the look of 20's on a truck. it fills out the wheel well better and improves my handling, but there is also a way to go too far. IMO anything bigger than 22's on a truck is too big.

While I don’t care for most of Rap or Hip Hop its no better or worse then country or rock. Please tell me that someone who believes it takes a lot of talent to play rock is kidding.
Rock music takes very little talent to write. Hell when I was in a few rock bands I learned ALL of AC/DC’s music in about 5 minutes. It is basically 3 power cords and that’s it, just played in different rhythms.
Same goes for most rock or country, same thing played different with different words. ALL music has some groups with bad influences on society, country, rock, hip hop, rap etc they all have many groups that can’t write worth a crap and spew some BS about this or that.
In general, rock writes about women and boning them, country writes about women and boning them, Rap writes about women and boning them, hip hop writes about young women and boning them. So what is so different? Not much except different music. Sure they all don’t write about women and boning them but if you listen to the lyrics there is not much difference between them.
Of course when they are not writing about women and boning them they are writing about leaving them, or abusing them, or playing with them. Then you have many groups who write about how screwed up our country is and/or society etc. They all have basically the same message backed by different music…

things change. fads come and go. not all kinds of music are for all kinds of people. that's why you have a choice. i don't like rap, but i don't pay attention to it. it doesn't bother me that others like it.... as long as they don't bother me about it or force it on me. i don't force my metal music or country music on anybody else becuase i can't expect them to like it the way i do.
everybodys different - lighten up - oaw

There is one sad, sad constant over all of those generations: Country music. In the name of all that does not suck: make it stop.
