Whats that smell in the mornings?

Quick question, want to know if this is normal or not, or if this needs attention.

Every morning when I start up the Mountaineer, there is a heavy smell is what seems like gas when ur on the outside of it? It goes away when it starts to warm up. I don't know if I noticed it on other cars and trucks I had, but is this something I should check into? The smell is pretty bad, but I don't get how it would smell like gas?

Any info would be great!

Thanks in advance!

get a match or lighter a move around the truck. see if you can find some liquid leaking and then touch the flame to it. this should fix it.

Well, my Maxima used to have a slight "urine" smell at start up, on the AC...

Maybe a PO'd engineer took a whizz on my in-cabin micro-filter...

Actually, I think I'd rather smell gas than pee.

Only if you have been hearing lots of squeaks and rattles.

For the love of God Triton...I mean mountain...its probably just the catalytic converter smell on start up. They have a little fuel, egg, rotten fish smell to them till they warm up after a few seconds. I'm sure it is fine but if you back the tailpipe through the garage wall you wont smell it anymore.
