Maybe it's all the race fuel getting to my brain, but I can't for the life of me find a thread from a day or so ago. It was a post with a video to a new Z06 making a pass. It was moved to general discussion, and I can't find it there either? I did a search using the poster's name, and it still didn't come up. Did it get totally deleted??

Yep, stock 06 Z06, on street tires. I've seen other cars run low 11s at as much as 127 mph. That's easy 10.90s on a slick. Badass car. Still just a vette to me though .

was the drivers reaction time 4.7 sec? Vid cut out before elap. time, speed. was displayed....4.7 is bad bad bad..

What until they can actually tune the car. Just imagine one with a cam, tune, and sticky tires. Can you say LOW 10s?

 

You have to Love the New Z06's performance for the money. The Z06 will spank a New Dodge Viper & I love the Ford GT Supercar but for $180,000 it kinda takes All the Fun Out. Chevrolet reports 11.5 @ 126 mph 1/4 mile times & a top speed of 197 mph. The Only American cars built in 2006 with a Faster Top Speed is the Ford GT at 205 mph & the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo that is the World's Fastest that will run 260 mph. List on the Twin Turbo S7 Saleen is $575,000.

 

Thats just nuts!! Did anyone just feel their insurance go up? LOL.. serious, I wonder how many people that SHOULDN'T have that fast of a car is going to buy one? I know a few Doctors and Lawyers that like to drink a LOT and then go drive...LOL 11 seconds on street tires, whats next? ....not complaining, but I kinda wish It was a Ford out there doin that. Ford has such potential and they keep messing with new projects. Well, we'll see what the new 2006 Mach 1 setup is all about. My buddy just took two of them to the SEMA show to unveil them. I haven't seen pics yet, but I'll keep everyone posted. ...I had an offer to go with him but had to work...

 

I knew the new Vette was quick, but I didnt know it was THAT quick. I just imagine a driver behind the wheel other then that guy, maybe some better tires and perhaps some traction bars to help off the line and bet he could get those #'s down.
