Read the article again, line by line, word for word, and its not to much of a jump to “speculate” that “perhaps” there is further issues with faulty components used in Ford vehicles
Jump
Speculate
perhaps

Gotta go with Kool Aid on this one.

If the "Media" prints it, it must be true.

Wrong.

Let the investigation get completed first.

Yay Ford...All bow Down and say your Ford Prayers...Due to Ford's recant track record, I have little Fiath in Ford...But thier are still several causes than start a fire, Fords catching on fire is not new, Tempo's and Topaz's, Tarus and the arrowstar van have issues....

Safety would dictate, as well as logic, that anything that has automatic control over the vehicle should “always” have a mechanical means to disconnect it. Cruise control should always have a mechanical means to be deactivated.
Except for the old pto throttle controls, C/C has never had a mechanical link. All have been activated by an electrical current in conjuction with vacumn. All have a built in fail safe, meaning if the unit fails, the C/C is turned off.

Not to say that a malfunction within the vehicle caused the fire. Just saying way to early to speculate.

C'mon now...

Every car that ever burnt to the ground, ever, anywhere, had a Ford cruise control system in it.

You didn't know that?

You know that car you saw on the edge of the highway, with the firetruck there spraying water on it, all burnt to a crisp.....yep, Ford CC in that one also.

I thought this was common knowledge.

Last car fire I saw was a motorhome. Probably had a Ford C/C in it!

From: Georgia on my mind...

There's a bunch of stuff in vehicles nowadays that can catch fire. I wasn't there, ain't my truck, so it ain't my place to hypothesize over it. Even though the '04+ F150 does not use a brake pressure deactivator switch like the previous generation trucks did, the switch in the new trucks isn't exposed to brake fluid in no shape or form.

is that Cherry or Grape Kool aid you're drinking.

It's common knowledge that Ford cut a lot of corners on these trucks to make a buck.

Wouldn't surprise me if they made another CC mistake.

Matches or lighter....

It doesn't say if the truck was playing with matches or a lighter to start the fire. So much for those child proof lighters. Geesh, now the Feds will demand they all be truckproof.

The lawyers are going to jump on this and claim that all house fires are caused by Ford F150's.
