Btw...I have the Epson R200 and they discs are just about dry by time the printing cycle is over. bad thing about those Epson printed discs is that even a year later if you have wet hands the ink smudges right off.

Lightscribe is VERY cool... I've made a couple of discs at this point and really enjoy the time spent designing my own faces for the discs...
The drawbacks -- it takes a while for these things to come screaming out of this drive! Quick data burn... slow image burn.
I bought a OEM drive -- here's a hint, splurge for the extra $10 unless you already have a full registered RETAIL version of NERO... My old Nero (V.5.5 -- yeah, I know ... very old) wouldn't recognize the drive and thus, I had to 'find' Nero 7. Additionally, I've had some problems with Nero's design program so, I've just decided to use it for burning only and utilize the program that kingfish mentioned (SureThing). Again, I had to 'find' a full copy of it as well so that I could enjoy all of the backgrounds that are available...
So, all in all, the neat factor is pretty high... unfortunately though, this technology, in my opinion, won't float long unless they figure out color.... and, with that in mind, I plan on buying a R220 Epson for the office tomorrow.
