Load Hog.. Trucks! episode

Did anyone catch that episode today (I know it's a rerun) how Stacey transforms a 92 150 short bed 2 wheel drive into a dump truck? I have been contemplating buying a dump trailer for my part time landscape business, but wonder if it makes more sense to buy a good used 2WD 150/250 and convert the bed? I know it wont handle a yard of stone, but mulch/brush/ other assorted light duty work? Anyone have that conversion? Anyone know the cost? The web site is kind of criptic for info.

Was it a 92? Thought he said 93? Oh well, it was nice to see some of the older iron represented on these shows. Looked like a 300 inline too!

all well and nice with the airbag and all..

but it will lift 4000 lb

would you put 4000 lb in a 1/2 ton?
notice it was mulch

good luck with that much sand

Nope- like I said, Light duty stuff...Brush, mulch, hay bales, Dump runs, Flower bed clean outs. No stone, stone dust, gravel, sand. I would try and stay within the linits of the trucks payload- just would be nice to be able to dump the bed, as opposed to shoveling/ raking it out.
