A little help figuring out some tailgates that I have....

I have a couple F250 and some chevy comparable model. The chevy's are the same size. We got a couple of these in from a buy out that we did. These were the tailgates off the cable trucks. They are all white, in excellent shape as far as dents and deep scratches. Their are some minor paint flaws. Just from being stored. Since they are in such good shape we want to figure out what they are and dump them on Ebay or something.

I know this is the wrong forum and I'm not trying to sell them here. Just trying to see if anyone knows how I can tell exactly what year and model a tailgate is from. I don't really see any kind of sticker that says anything. I'm assuming that they are at least 2000 up since that's what most of their trucks they had were.

Any info would be awesome.

Thanks,
Chris

I thought the Ford tailgate had an emblem F150,F250, F350 etc...

There are guide holes in the tailgate skin if the emblem is removed.

For F250 the model and year shouldn't matter 97-03.

I got the Model part. More of knowing what years they are from. There are 3 F250 and couple different Chevy's.

On the F250's, 97-03's are all the same, is there any distinctive things that would tell me if it was pre-97 or possibly 04-up. I'm betting they are in the 97-03 gap.
