You people like this snow? I hate it. I guess it's "pretty" but then you have to move it out of the way. They have to plow the roads and dump a bunch of salt to melt what's left. That salt eats away at our vehicles.

They don't close roads around here. If you want to travel you can do so at your own risk. It's interesting going for a drive in a snow storm. It's usually the 4X4's that end up off the road. They get a faulse sense of security. My beater Taurus goes pretty good in the snow.

I can't wait to see all the snow melt away and start growing some leaves on the trees. The sooner the better.

When it snows that means the truck and I get to go to work and make toy-fund money.
Then when the works all done, we load up the sled and head for the trails.

I'll put up a picture of my driveway and the 6.5' tall snowbanks on the side of it. Not so pretty then.

Also, my town only puts sand down, no salt, so I don't have to worry about it eating away at my truck

That much snow closed freeways!? I guess for a place that rarely gets snow 4 or 5 mm could be scary.

Yes I would like it. We have not gotten more than a dusting about like KiCk *** FX4's pics for the last 2 winters. Here for one day "if that" then gone. Not only are we 36" behind in rainfall in the last 9 months, but with the lack of snow... there is little to no nitrogen in the ground. This means not enough hay for the livestock when we do get a winter again. Means high cost of beef and milk at the grocery store for everyone the first decent winter that we do get. Because of the cost of grass & hay do to the lack of availability of it; beef and milk productions will be low; then what is produced will be costly to the farmer. Which means costly to us.
Then we have the comfort factor, since that's all the snow that we've gotten and no ice storms either, then we really havent gotten a good freeze of any kind. Ticks, chiggers, mosquito's and flies are over whelming. One good freeze for a week would kill a large mass of those.

So am I willing to drive in non ideal conditions, blade my driveway and wash my vehicles for that?
Yes I am!

Even Lake Havasu City, AZ got snow this weekend (Well, at least the mountain peak did...)!!! I'll post pics after lunch. We drove for about an hour and were in the good stuff. The boys loved it!!!

Well I guess if you look at it that way.

Yes, the skeeters will be bad this year and I'll have to look out for the ticks when I'm out hiking. The cost of everything seems to be going up for one reason or another so it shouldn't be a big surprize.

I guess I'm just selfish. I just got my new (to me) truck back in August. I really haven't had much time to drive it (it's been parked for the winter). I'm looking forward to making it to the strip and heading out for a couple long weekends with my girl. Good, warm weather makes for more fun for me.

I know many things are dependant on the weather. I can deal with winter but it can seem to drag on forever.

Yes it can, I've got a new to me jet ski seting here for the last 2 months. I sooooo want to ride it, my boat has been calling for me since I winterized it. I dearly miss the 1/2 naked women getting drunk and telling camp stories around teh camp fire. Yes I want summer, but.... I would put it off one week longer if I could get one week of some type of freezing.
