Sharipies - Why make permanent and Super Permanent

I'm labeling a DVD I just burned and I notice I'm using a "Super Permanent" version.

Well crap I labeled the others in plain 'ole permanent.

I'm feeling cheated...are the others really quasi-permanent?

Well I've got to go put the kids' power wheels in the shed before our nightly summer thunderstorm.

Whoa . . . Super Permanent™. That means it's more permanent. But if permanent is forever, then supermanent is more than forever.

That's infinity.

Means you're not gonna get it off that DVD what you wrote.

Then that also means that DVD will last forever, which is longer than DVDS were designed to last.

And that's a long time.

All I have is Fine, super fine, extra fine, ultra fine, super, chisel, king size, magnum and bullet tips in various collors, but all are only permanent, Sharpies markers.... Guess I'll have to throw them all out and go get them all again in super permanent so I know that it will stay!

I love sharpies, next to my Pilot G-2, I carry a black, super fine with me almost all the time.

Super permanent?? Just seems a bit of a sales gimmick to me, I mean isn't permanent, well, permanent. How can you have more permanent? I'm so confused

Good point. My daughter has four, so I guess she is semi super pregnant.

The SUPER permanent ones must be for home tattooing. You know for those times when you want a tattoo, but dont want to go out for one.

Yea because the permanent only last for about a week. So maybe the super Permanent will last a month!
