General Specifications

Hello, I do not have a manual for my 1991 Ford F150. Can anyone guide me to a link that would show fuel tank capacity, aux tank, oil capacity, radiator, and any other genaral info that would pertain to a 1991 Ford F150, 5.0 XLT/ Thanks

The official Ford website only goes back to 1996.
I have a book on old Fords....

"The F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in North America for several years, so Ford saw no reason to change the trend in 1991 - or the product itself. Other than minute trim tweaks, the new models were carbon copies of the 1990 models. The three trim levels that were offered were the Custom(basic), XL, and XLT Lariat."

273,892 F-150s were built in 1991.

31% had five-speed manual
1% had three speed auto
68% had four speed auto

100% power steering

100% rear ABS

18% 4x4

14% limited slip

100% tinted windshield

89% AC

51% aluminum alloy wheels

71% power windows and locks

13% reclining seatbacks

79% adjustable steering column and speed control

85% delay wipers

20% Custom
4% XL
76% XLT Lariat

2% AM radio
15.3% AM/FM stereo cassette
81.7% AM/FM stereo
1% no factory radio

45.1% 4.9L MFI inline six
45% 5.0L MFI V8
9.9% 5.8L MFI V8

this is one page that shows most of what you are looking for. The blue tabs can navigate around that model with all the information they have.

Going from memory, bad as it is, the fuel tank capacity doesn't look right. I had a 90, which was identical to the 91 model year with 2 tanks. Rear tank was 19 gallons, and front was I believe 17. Long time ago, but numbers have a way of sticking in my head, and those are the ones I remember.

The capacity is probably right, depending on how much fuel leaked from one tank into the other through the selection valve That was the most annoying thing about my '88.

I cant remember specifically, but I think my dad's 92 had around a 18 gal rear tank, and a larger front... I assume on this site, the 37-ish is a combination of the 2 tanks.
