I agree that Ford is a little underpowered... It would be nice to see them step the performance up on these trucks to compete with the other trucks.

On the other hand, The F150 I think is made better, and will hold up in the long run a lot better than the competition. The F150 has enough HP/TRQ to get the job done, and the ride quality, and ergonomics I think are top of the line in the Truck industry.

Just my .02 cents worth... but I DO AGREE that a stronger motor is in order!

I have seen the new Tundra first hand and if Ford doesn't do something quick I think they will be in trouble (as will the others). The new Tundra is a monster, equal in size or bigger depending on configuration. Options wise they are offering alot more than they used to (ex: one nice feature I noticed was obstacle detectors on the corners of the front bumber as well as the rear sensors. Nice for those tight corners and spaces.) Add to that 381hp 5.7L and their quality reputation.... . I love my F150 but the new Tundra is awful nice. When I chose my truck it was an easy hands down winner but if the new Tundra were available then...not sure which way the scales would have tipped.

dont blast me here because i do love my f150, but when i come home from school i drive a family friends 05 fully loaded tundra and i find the find the ride to be VERY nice, interior is VERY nice, and overall quality and build of the truck is great... ive also done longdistance trips in it and i much prefer it to my f150 for that.... they will be one of the first people on the eastcoast(if not the US) to get the new one so ill get to drive it soon after it comes out, but based on the current one alone if i had the money to spend i would mostlikely be getting the new tundra.... ford really needs to step it up with the next f150.....

381HP? I dont think anyone saw that coming.

Toyota: 381
Dodge: 345
GM: 345
Nissan: an under rated 317
Ford: an over rated 300

We're effed.

Also, to put things into perspective here...They are getting 381HP out of a 5.7L, while GM is getting 345HP out of a 6.0L and Mopar is getting 345HP out of a 5.6L and Nissan 317 out of a 5.4L, meanwhile Ford is getting 300HP out of a 5.4L. GM is also getting 285HP out of a 4.8L, only 15HP less and a full .6L smaller.

how can you compare the F-150 to that thing...........it deffinatly wins UGLYEST truck ever
i like how the ridgeline looks better then that thing.
road and track and autmobile have been ******* on the new tundra like crazy....only thing they didnt was the engine of course

watch the truth about trucks on fords site....its no bullsh*t....all facts and youll see why ford is alot better to have. toyota comes in last with all the categories they show except like 2...they beat dodge in.

i do agree however that the Boss is called for.

It has a big motor. Cool. It's uglier than the crap I just took.

Luckily we are talking about trucks, not race cars, so power isn't the #1 factor in choosing a truck.

As for having front and side sensors? Learn how to drive. No man should need that crap.

and you bet your butt Ford WILL be introducing a much improved engine in their next generation F150, it isn't an option. It's a must.

Well ford better do something because there loosing market shere big time. They didn't even break 800.000 this year with the F-Series so thats 2 years that the numbers have fell. For me it's all about performance and I hope ford does step up and start building some HP.

I only have 2 questions:

1. What does it cost (out the door)?

2. How much does it drink?
