Then new GT's are in the 14's So that means the Shelby V6 would probably be in the low 14's or high 13's which is still not that fast Just get a 03-04 cobra.....forged internals and just add a kenne bell and your looking around 600rwhp.
also please do not call the GT500 a slow car in muscle car terms, thats just....retarded, yes an IRS should be in it and they need to drop weight nut it is still a fast ****

I believe the GT500 is slower than the C6 Corvette and quite a bit slower than the C6 Z06. Something like 13.1 in quarter?

sorry but a ya its a corvette(they are not muscle cars, don't try to convince me that they are, they are way to stream line to be a muscle car), but motortrend did say that the GT500 was .2 sec faster in 0-60 than the C6 but thats motortrend, and it loses speed later on because it weighs so much, i would take a GT500 over a C6 any day, personally i don't like corvettes...ok let that absorb into your brains...ok now begin to flame me...but the inside is soo crappy looking(not like the stang is any better) and if i lifted my truck a little and put 35s on it, i could use the corvette as a ramp! oh and sorry if you have one (not saying you are like this) but down here everybody that has one thinks they are some hot shot or something and they cut me off, and when i get on there *** they flip me off...let the grilling of MrSquirrel begin...oh and the ZO6 is like 75k( yes i know the markup on the GT500) and i have yet to see a new C6 one of them

One thing I have observed over the years is that Carrol Shelby doesn't put out much in the way of "crap". Even those goofy Omni 024s that he did during his MOPAR stint were pretty fun little pocket rockets.

The CS6 may not be the fastest V6 on the planet, but my money says they won't be slow as "crap".

Plain Jane facts are that more ci will yeild more hp in most any case. Of course the V8s will stomp an equally modded V6. However, I don't think Shelby is trying to outdo his own V8 Stangs with the V6. It's a concept car, and 350 HP is the initial estimate. Who knows what it will really be, but then again, who cares? The man has made some incredible cars over the years using low end American engineering, and I have to believe that the GS6 will amaze people who realize what they are looking at. The looks alone kick some serious butt IMO.

Another nice thing is that for those high school kids that can't afford the insurance on the GT, they can buy the kits from Shelby and at least nip the heals of the big dogs.

Did I mention the looks of that car???

And I think this guy has forgotten more about mussel cars then you know...

If you were lucky enough to have ever owned an Omni I always said it was better to just drive it to the scrap yard while it was running and save yourself a tow bill,,oops ,,Did I say that? sorry:o :o

When I was in high school, I had a turbo Porsche. A guy in my hometown had an Omni GLH, and used to brag constantly about it being super-fast, so I ran him one day, had him by about 10 car-lengths at 1/4 mile, and I had backed off the throttle and was just cruising by that point. I never thought they were that quick, but I was comparing it to a turbo Porsche, not your everyday car.

Compared to what he had to start with, I think Shelby did pretty good with that POS.

I was just disapointed when the GT500 came out and weighed in at +3,800 lbs and had no IRS for the price. I think they are damn good looking though.

the answers to all my performance questions about ford will hopefully come when they (hopefully) build the rumored Boss line of engines
please ford, don't just make it for the trucks, make it for everything requiring a V8 or is that to much to ask for
