Screw that pre-madonna anyway. you know, I never ever see any fans around town sporting the #20.

hows this for a rough draft?
a bit wordy (and i didnt check for spelling, i also have a personal vandetta against captial letters that is not shared by all)
to whom it may concern.
i want to preface this letter by stating that i am a long time home depot
customer. though other retailers are out there, i have always had a positive
buying experience in any home depot i have ever visited, and i have never felt
the need to 'leave the fold' for any reason.
with that being said, i would like to make you aware of my most recent home
depot purchase . after being assisted by one of the appliance departments
sales reps, i decided to buy the (model) refrigerator. it was a little more than we intended to spend, but it had everything we were looking for in a new model. upon further conversation with the salesperson, we were told that they would not deliver to our area, which made our decision all the more difficult.
i was apprehensive about getting it home on my own, but judging from past
purchases with home depot, i knew yours was the company that i wanted to
continue to deal with, so we made the purchase anyway (including an extended service warranty).
i was able to find an employee to assit me in getting it loaded into the bed of a
pickup truck for the ride home. i strapped the unit in tight against the cab with two 10,000 pound rated straps.
as fate would have it, traveling on the highway, i hit a bump in the road, and
the refrigerator was dumped from the truck, totally destroying it. luckily no one was hurt and i didnt cause any accidents. then the reality set in. this was a brand new fridge that i never even got into my kitchen, and it was destroyed. what made it worse was that i could not even get home depot to
deliver it to me as i was told i was outside their normal delivery range (40
miles). we made our purchase anyway, staying loyal to a company that we
shopped frequently, and had never done us wrong before.
now i am strongly reconsidering that mentality.
i understand that lowes would have delivered to me, and if i had purchased
from them, i would not be in this situation i am right now.
as bad as this all is, the worst of the experience was when i contacted the
home depot in (where-ever texas). i made an apointment with (store managers name) to go back and discuss this with him, but when i arrived (on time) he had already left for the day. i was also told by another home depot employee to 'enjoy my new fridge' after relaying all this information to them.
i never expected to be treated so poorly by a retailer in my life, especially
one i have shopped at so often. considering there are plenty of other
retailers for me to get my new refrigerator from, i am suprised that the folks
at hope depot would act in this manner.
