I had a snow plow come out of the back of my truck in the middle of the busiest intersection in town. That sucked trying to get a 900# plow back into the bed of my truck.

Can anyone answer the above question? This happened in '07....what was the final ending?

I had a 21' (12' collapsed) extension ladder turn sideways in the bed of a '94 150, when I hit the brakes and a bungee cord broke. I saw people laughing as I crept into the corner gas station with a ladder loaded on my truck SIDEWAYS. Just glad no one hit it, and it hit no one.
Now I use racks and ratchet straps.

the hardware store i work at has the same policy. i thought it was dumb until i saw this post. the sad thing is a lot of people don't have any idea how to tie things down.

Well, I had it strapped down right, the cheap straps I used slipped loose.
