Ford font

Anyone know if there is a font available that matches the Ford font and Motorsports font pictured below?

The actual ford logo was digitally recreated based on the original Ford logo, which was illustrated by C.H. Wills in 1909. There is no official font that is used by Ford for that logo. You can get a knock off free font that is similar.

A Heavy Commercial Script is close.

There is also a FORD Script that is close as well. Subtle differences.

A Google search of Ford Script Font will get you what you need.

the only ford script out there is close but the F is different, so youd need to photoshop the F into normal ford. what kind of thing are you needing this for?

I am creating a business logo for a friend. I need to be able to use the font instead of just copy and paste because I will convert it into a Cad file and cut it in aluminum.

Now you are getting into Vector Art as opposed to a Raster image. Outside of my realm of knowledge.

All I need is a word font. I can convert everything else to what I need. All I need is a font that will work in Microsoft Word.

Well I don't see how Ford could come after him with using the word Ford since that is his last name.

If you use the Ford font to write a Ford Whatever sign (that is not a ford dealership), prepare your friend on the good chance he will be sued quicker than you can finish hanging the sign. They have a bunch of attorneys' henchmen lurking around everywhere for infringements like this.... Good luck with that.

I don't understand how they can attack someone's last name.

They're not attacking anyone's last name, they're defending their trademark. You can write Ford all over anything you want, especially if it's your last name. The problem arises when you do that using the font/blue oval. That's when they get mad.
And resize those pictures or something.

Exactly.

That "font" is proprietary to Ford as their registered trademark. There are a lot of companies out there that are the same way. Their fonts are their own creations.

I have to get the manufacturer name data that I integrate into CAD models for molding directly from the manufacturer and am not allowed to tweak it at all. They check it closely when I'm finished with it too.

They take that kind of thing pretty seriously.
