May be a repost, but http://www.news12now.com/onset?id=47...e=article.html

It says he was in the median near the HOV lane. The HOV lane is the furthest left lane, the fastest lane and only has about 3 feet between it and the dividing wall. I drive that stretch of highway every day to and from work. Guy had a death wish. Scary thing is, how did he get all the way on that side of the road? Not only is he riding a bicycle on I-95, but he's changing lanes?

I always like it when some dumb A$$ decides to yell at me when he passes me (more like buzzes me when with No oncoming traffic preventing him from moving over a little) while I'm riding my bike only to Catch him at a red light and proceed to beat the **** out of his punk A$$.

He's the fat a$$ that got out of the car and thought he could take on a "bicycle ***".

Hey Racer Chick. That's not a bicycle lane. That's called a Curb. Do you drive in the shoulder? Trust me, we ride as far right as possible. Give cyclists a break, they're just people trying to get a little exercise. I know there's a lot of people can't understand that..

And people wonder why I ride with my Keltec P11 9mm "concealed" in my bicycle jersey. "buzzing" a cyclist is using your car as a Weapon. That gives me the right to use mine IMO. Good people get killed just trying to ride their bikes, I've known Two.

And you know what Motocross riders use to train with? Bicycles! At least Ricky Carmichael (Specialized) and Bubba Stewart (Cannondale) do. Let's hope some Red Neck doesn't run them over training in Florida somewhere...

The city of Vancouver has gone to the green side and tries to promote commuters to ride a bike to work. They have designated joint use roads as well as biking lanes. Here it rains 8 months of the year. So it is a hard and slow sell.
But what really burns my but is those who bike in rush hour on narrow, high volume roads. They just bring the curb lane to a crawl, and when they get to a red light they use the sidewalk and cue the line up at the intersection. You can pass the same miserable cyclist several times.

Well the bright side is that takes hundreds of other cars off the road during your commute, which means more parking downtown and less time spent in your car.

Like Ive said I think riding a bike on narrow and busy streets is just stupid. If theres room and your not impeding traffic go for it, and have the common sense to obey the traffic laws, cause an accident an you'll lose everytime.

I take my bike to a few friends places, but its in a residential area with low volume side streets.

If ya dont want to drive to work take a bus, go for your bike ride after work where you arent being a PITA to everyone else.

I've been racing motocross since I was 5 years old. I know how we train. Cycling is just one of the MANY things.

I find it interersting that when peole break the law on a bike they are a PITA; when they do it in a truck they are being macho---"Hey! how do I get out of this speeding ticket?" (Look what I did---stooopid cops!)

Yep---people break the laws on bikes (which they shouldn't)---and people break the laws in trucks and cars (which they shouldn't). So what is the difference?

How 'bout those who live in Amish country---I haven't heard you bitch yet about those those folks and those SLOW MOVING BUGGIES!

I cycle for several reasons---it helps my physical health; it helps my mental health; it helps my wallet. I follow the traffic rules and regs in the state of Ohio. If you don't like it, **** off.

Jesus, some of you cyclists are real agitated by this thread. . It's quite hilarious. No one in this thread has said EVERY cyclist. . maybe made a generalization of just saying "the" cyclists but I don't think anyone intended that to be a generalization of EVERY single one of them. Lighten up. .

If I made jokes about "accidentally" shooting at hunters trespassing on my property don't you think many people would be a little upset?

No different than joking about running into people or forcing them off of the road.

Tim, I never said it was the thing that pissed me off the most, I was just simply venting about an incident that had just occured and was fresh in my mind.

I didn't know curbs were approx 2-3 feet wide with white stripes on either side and "Bicycle Lane" painted in the middle I am going to grab my camera tonight and see if I can snap a pic for ya, because if "as far right as possible" means riding ON the farthest left white line, then I need to be sure I'm not driving in Europe.
