looking for suspension help on 01 tacoma...

yeah yeah i know it's a Ford board, but i'm trying to get this yota set up with nice lift for a play truck.

here's what i got:

2001 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4wd Ext Cab with the v-6

whats the cheapest way to going about putting this thing in the air??

How far in the air do you want to go? Coil spacer and add a leaf will buy you 2" around, more than enough to clear 33"s

was looking for around 4". what about shackle lift?

The problem is you can lidt the rear 4" without too much trouble. Trying to get that much out of the front without UCA's and diff drop just wont fly on the trail. You will be destroying CV's right and left. Total chaos makes a sweet kit for the Tacomas but it is major coin. Those are such popular offroading rigs, has anyone made a bolt on SAS kit for them?

didn't really want to go that far into it. so what's the max for the front end? 2.5"?

Yeah 2.5 is really about the most you can get from it and still expect it to holdup to offroad abuse. What style wheeling do you plan to do? Doesnt that tacoma also have an electronic locking rear differential

lol **** if i know. i JUST got this thing, um yesterday afternoon?

just planning on basic oh sh*t stuff, ditch riding, and curb jumping.....


MAYBE make it out to the dunes every now and then
