I'd love to see Torre in KC. Too bad they already have someone else.

The Royals hired a new manager. And I don';t think A-Rod should get that much money to play baseball. That's just asinine to pay someone that much to play a game.
What do you think of that grass fairy David Beckham????

It may be less popular here, but not in the rest of the world. But then again we've (USA) always done things our own way.

Personally, I think baseball is akin to listening to paint dry.

That's too bad, Torre's a good skipper. I'm glad he told Steinbrenner to stuff it. I hope he can find someone who'll fill Joe's shoes, it won't be an easy task.

Yea but where it's popular they don't pay their athletes rediculous amounts of cash.

They do where the market is big. Europe. They could care less for baseball and football over there. Soccer is king. They pay the big names just like we do in our sports.

Europe pays big for their athletes, Look what Micheal Schumacher (sp?) F1 driver for Ferrari makes.
Valantino Rossi (FIM 500 GP Motorcycle)

Make our athletes look underpaid. And with the Euro being worth almost $1.50 of U.S. currency even more so.
