If you need the steps to get in, then there's nothing wrong with it, but some people get steps jusgt for the cool factor; also, it depends on the truck.

I'm not sure about now, but I know for the 02 F150, the 2WD sits higher than chevys 4WD.

There's a couple of trucks running around, the truck is low to begin with, and these guys have steps, that look like they're practically scraping the road, it just looks silly.

 

I took my steps off a little while after the truck was lowered, my wife was complaining.

 

People that buy a pickup to look cool but never use it for the intended purpose....

ie. Some people i know have trucks but will not put anything in the bed because they dont want it to get dirty or scratch the bed...makes me sick

i work at a vatozone...i know flame on...but seriously everytime someone tries to buy some cheap ridiculous part like people have said on here i try my best to talk them out of it haha

I also hate it when the rim lip sticks out past the tire sidewall.
