I always got chewing gum, Hershey bars, and tangerines in my stocking every year as a kid...and a silver dollar, as well. To this day I will go grocery shopping around this time of year and bring back a load of tangerines---and eat everyone of them...my wife thinks I am crazy (guess I am) but they bring back wonderful memories.

We usually got an orange, one of those really big peppermint sticks and a couple of small toys.

Yeah, I knew you were, me too. I was wondering the same thing about MGDfan. Careful, he'll get the mistaken idea he was missed!

My grandma used to always send us this brick sized fruitcake every year. The thing looked just like a brick. I think it was the same one every year. The same brick, every year. You know, the exact same one every year. It looked just like a brick. The holiday cheer brick of fruitcake.

My Mom made a fruit cake that was actually very good, but it was cakey, not a brick at all. Those brick ones are heavy!

I've heard people make fun of fruitcakes my entire life. They're the butt of a lot of jokes. I don't get it. I love fruitcakes!
