Anyone have a Ridgid Micro Sea Snake?

Does anyone in the trades here have one of these?

I just placed an order for one and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them.... I plan on using it to locate pipes/wires, etc in our plaster walls (1922 Side Hall Colonial) ..... bought the 3' extension as well..... in addition to looking into pipes/walls, I imagine there could be a number of automotive uses for it as well....

(I'm sure the perverts will voice their suggested uses... )

Mike...I'm looking at buying several for our aircraft maintenance stations in PA and NY. They'd be pretty handy getting a look behind radio racks and equipment panels. I have yet to see how the video display is...hoping it'll be decent.

I'm looking at Graingers for mine...about $230 for the basic unit. What's the price you're getting from Coastal Tool??

Don,

I paid $199 for the camera with accesory pack and another $52 for a 3' extension cable (total with shipping was about $262). That was from www.toolup.com out of Las Vegas.

I forgot to check Coastal first but they seem to be a couple bucks cheaper (check link in previous post).

There's also alot of first-hand comments over at http://www.ridgidforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Guys are sticking these things down toilets, etc... so I imagine peeking behind instrument panels, etc would be just fine..... only downside that I see is that you can't capture either pics or video with it. You need to take a picture of the screen with a digital camera to capture it.
