Thanks. I've known about Mom having this surgery today for the past week. The really uncomfortable thing for me is I had a horrible dream last night where my Dad was coming up to me crying and saying the words "It didn't go well, it didn't go well" when I asked him about Mom's surgery. Right after I said that I woke up in a sweat in the middle of the night.

Thus all day at work I was dreading hearing from him. In the morning he emailed me and said the doctor said everything went well and that she would probably go home in two days. Dad said 15 minutes after he sent that email from his PDA, it started getting very bad and it did for the next 3-4 hours until her heart stopped.

His next email came later when I posted and it said "It didn't go well today" and I nearly passed out. It was almost exactly how I dreamed. That was the oddly uncomfortable part. So I'm doing my best to have happy thoughts right now so I can have some happy dreams tonight that good things will happen tomorrow.

Thank you all so very much for being there for me and giving words of encouragement. It really means a lot to me.

Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you so much for your prayers as it must have really helped! Mom came home on Monday and is doing very well. She just needs lots of rest and rehabilitation.

So that was quite a scare but all is not headed in the right direction. I also I have some exciting news.

I'm engaged! I proposed to my girl friend of 3 years on Saturday night. I've been planning it for about a year and the day finally came.

Congrats and glad your mom is doing better!! I just lost my grandfather on the 20th, so i know the tense feelings. Glad everything is looking up, the lord works in mysterious ways sometimes!!
