bad time for no heat

I've got a problem guys,I have no heat in my 98 f-150.My buddy tells me its a blend door that changes the air from cool to warm, and that it has little teeth that the heat takes its toll on.I personally don't know how it all works but do need help,it's getting cold here.Thanks....Tony

Repost this in the HVAC section, you might get more help. If you're really nice a mod might even move it for you. Or you could just bypass all that and just move here. High was 81 today

Chances are its your blend door, a $30 part with $500 worth of labor involved. Do a search on here and it'll show you how to test it.
