but he is posting it on a ford site. that is the point. if he wants his ego stroked, then go to a toy site

Fixed.
As much as I like my 94 Ranger and the portion of nearly 284,000 miles it gave me while I owned it, the newer ones gave me nothing extra over what mine did.
Never could get a straight answer from anyone in my Ranger forums about how durable a later 4x4 with 4.0L and slushbox would be...well, the one remotely concrete answer was "need a tranny rebuild around 100-120K" which was not good since I was buying used. My F150 had 111,600 when I bought it.

I didn't see anywhere on this site when I signed up that no other vehicles were to be talked about other than Ford's. This is a General Discussion forum... Not the Super Crew, King Ranch, etc section. If he wants to talk about all the buttons inside his Tacoma then he can. If other members don't like... then don't read it. Simply ignore it. The title has Tacoma in it... big surprise that it's going to talk about a Toyota. Some of you may be die hard Ford and nothing else.... others are not. If noone cared there wouldn't have been any replies to the post and that would be the end of that.

Exactly.
There are a lot of senior members that no longer drive F150s. Some don't even drive Ford's anymore.
I also fail to see where t-rev is bragging. He is answered the question posed to him in the 2004 forum.

Wow, people saw the word Tundra and failed to read the whole post. People on THIS F150 forum asked him about the differences...he's just answering their questions.
Who cares how much it can tow/haul? If it tows/hauls what he needs it to do, then great. Heck, how much can your F150 tow/haul compared to...I dunno...an F650? Buy the truck that does the job you need it to do.
Ranger the same since 1993? Well, the four banger got the Duratec in mid 2001 I think. Supposed to be more HP and more MPG than the older Lima motor.

Another thing this gentleman has over all of us Ford (F-Series or Ranger) owners is resale value. I'm on my 7th F-150 and continue to be dismayed at the depreciation rate. Do yourself a favor and check out what used Toyotas are selling for - even with 100,000 miles on the clock. You'll scare yourself.
