I like a lot of stuff from classic rock and classic country to newer stuff. Also like blues, pop, folk, doo wop, metal, and even a little gospel and rap.
That fat bastard Keith grates on my nerves almost as much as that hideous screeching bitch Alanis Morriset. In fact those two should team up and do a CD. He could write the nauseating syrup and she could howl it out like a gut shot Bobcat. Sheet if they used that on terror suspects they’d spill their guts before the first track was over.

I just think Toby Keith's current image was conjured up by his stylists/managers or whoever at a convienient time in order to make him more appealing there by boosting his career. Before the terrorist attacks he wasn't Mr. USA, and I just feel that it happens to be more of a carefully calculated career move than anything else.
I liked him better in his double wide paradise.
And hell yeah I'm jealous of the money Toby Keith makes. Who wouldn't want to make that kind of money?

Alright. I see where you guys are coming from. But think of it this way. Garth Brooks was the country music "Poster Child" when country was starting to cross over in the early 90's. I remember when my parents went to a Judds concert when I was like 13 or 14 (Im 31 now) and Garth opened for them.
After Garth, speculation was that it was going to be Alan Jackson that would step up to the plate. Country never really came around to "the Masses" until Garth. Toby Keith has been the biggest SUPERSTAR out of country since then, hands down. Like his stuff or not, he's got the audience.
He's the "Kid Rock" American Bad *** of country music. How can that be debated

IMHO anyone can write a song about getting drunk. The only song that holds any merit is the song about the "American Soldier".
He is another "artist" born out the the music industry. There are probably thousands just like him who will never/or never make it big.
Much like Britney Spears. Welcome to the music industry!
