GM Sucks

They must have at least 90% of the worst used cars on the list. (I know, tell you something you didn't already know)
Consumer Reports Best and Worst Used Cars.
Not a Ford in sight on either list. No bad, but not good.

Considering that they list the Tundra on the best list, they haven't got a clue and the list is worthless as is the Tundra. If it isn't foreign, it isn't quality as far as these morons go. And one of the Mazdas is nothing more than a rebadged Ford but the Ford isn't listed. I guess they must have some incredibly stupid readers. Unfortunately, J D Power isn't any better. I got my survey from them the next day after buying my SCRew. At least give me time to learn to hate it or fall out of love. FWIW, so far, at 85,000 miles, it has been a typical Ford- reliable and comfy and does the job I bought it for. As far as CR, they're idiots drunk on rice wine.

Of the Mazdas listed, what do they equate to back over to the Ford line?

Mazda Millenia
Mazda MX-5 Miata
Mazda Protegé
Mazda3

I believe the Protege and the 3 had some shared engineering with the Focus?

Ford and Mazda have climbed into bed many times over the last thirty years.

The Millenia derived from the old 626. The 626 and the Taurus had the same DNA.

The MX-5/Miata has no Ford cousin in the US or anywhere.

Ford would probably like to build a little two seat convertible like the MX-5
Just as Mazda would probably like to build a Mustang.
Of course, they would call it a 'Mazdatang'

As for the Protege and Mazda3, there may be some international 'Ford equivilants' that we just don't see in the States.

Europe and Austrailia have Fords you'd never recognize.

Its obvious you don't know jack **** then. The Tundra ever since it was introduced has pretty much been on every single most reliable list ever studied. Ask any owner of a Tundra, they swear by them. They are bulletproof trucks. Sure the new 07 model has a few bugs, its obvious since its a completely new truck from the ground up, they have to work out the 1st year problems, in another year it will be just as bulletproof as the previous generation Tundras.

Like it or not, these unbiased studies don't lie.

The Mazda 3 and Focus share the same engine.

Consumer reports took it off the suggested list because of all the issues it was having. The truck is only 1 year old, long term reliability does not come into play here only first year reliability. You would have to be a moron to not admit the tundra has been plagued with issues in it's first year. tundrasolutions is full of complaint after complaint. They even made a petition to get the POS tailgate fixed.

It's a Ford board. It's also General Discussion. In what way is it uncalled for?

Oh yes, I knew of the incest but, of the cars that were on the listing in the 'derogatory' category, I was struggling to find the inbred bastard child on the Ford side.

That's all...

LOL, whats funny about this is that 85% of 07 Tundras are equipped with a V8 (65% of tundra's have the 5.7), and more than 50% of those are equipped with 4x4. That means that 45-50% of '07 Tundra's dont even count toward the 'best' list. (a.k.a. The tundras people want, V8 4x4s).

Silly.

Ok, I see were you're coming from now.
Yes, if CR had listed the Mazda Tribute while leaving off the Ford Escape, there would be a bigger stink than the Obama/Wright debacle.

The O'Reillys of the board would be all over it.
