It would be interesting to sit back and observe, to see if hail bouncing off Pam's head bounces higher than it does off concrete.

Fuel injector extended warranty. 2005 5.4 engines have suspect injectors that may stick open. When they do all problems caused by the faulty injector are replaced. My #7 was stuck open, engine hydrolocked. Getting a new short block. I need to change the rest of the injectors too. They will ONLY replace the failed one.

So Ford would rather replace the injector AND a short block every time an injector fails instead of replacing them all at once when the problem arises. I'm going to be on the horn with Ford, try to pull some strings.

Good luck I hope it all works out in your favor. I dont understand why they insist on doing things so bass ackwards with warranty work some times.

Yeah, member HDXLT is my service manager guy. He tried to start the truck this morning to drive it into the bay. I watched the flatbed drop my truck off last night, my daughter picked me up and we went to the dealer so I could talk to Landon. Anyway he didn't get a full crank in, cylinder was flooded. They got the truck into the bay, eventually trying to manually crank it over. Wouldn't budge either way, so I get a short block and an injector. Now I need to pay to have the rest replaced, warranty only covers the shot injector. I'm going to call Ford CS to gripe and get the price (7 injectors) lowered, hopefully.

Replacing one is stupid. This is one bean counter that says it would be smarter to replace all of the injectors while you are in the motor.
