Let's start over......
Had a very pleasant drive to Longview, the sun was shinning and a rain shower, everything so green, was beautiful. The truck ran great the whole trip, still fun to drive.
The only negative, my sister in law(my wife's brother's wife), passed away before we arrived. She had really had an unreal amount of health problems the last couple of years and I think she willed herself to die. She was tired of fighting it.
So, I will be making the trip again in a few days, for the funeral. She will be buried just down the road from the family farm there at Brownsboro.

Thanks. Yes, and caring for her was taking it's toll on my BIL. He's the one that put's John Wayne to shame. We went to eat last night with him and 2 of his sons. He had us rolling. He is the most outspoken, opinionated, but well liked character I have ever known. About all he wears is overalls. He's 78 but you would never know it. You should hear his take on Obama.

Good afternoon slackers! Just got home from the Frisco trip. It rained all the way up Saturday morning and into the afternoon. The rain finally stopped and the clouds cleared out around 4:00 p.m. Concert started at 7:30 under clear blue skies! The nasty weather didn't seem slow any of the parrotheads down. I think there were more camped out than ever before. As usual, it was a packed house and an awesome show.

sorry to hear about your Sister in Law Jim.
I went with Josh to Belton and then to Austin. We picked up a 3/4 ton axle for his 97 for when he is going to do his SAS soon. Then when we were in Austin we picked up bumper hood and fenders for his wrecked 87 truck. Productive weekend for us, and he only spent 150 bucks for everything
I grabbed a few other tools from my house while i was in Austin.

Contract passed. I don't think we could have done any better had we went on strike. I'm happy.
The voting process is sorry though. The Union holds these contract votes in the Stockyards rodeo coliseum. It is like walking into a manure pit, complete with smell. I think it's the only place that will host us. Plus, a lot of the guys are drunk by the time the vote comes, since it's in the Stockyards, plenty of bars and tailgate party style drinking. Pretty stupid, but at least there are enough sober people to cancel out the drunk's disorderly conduct voting.
